Discuss the dangers that different types of explorers face or may face. Tell your child that underwater cave divers are one type of explorer. Together, brainstorm a list of as many explorers as you can think of. Discuss the dangers of each type of exploration. |
The Wilds of Madagascar |
This week you will be going to Tsarasaotra Park. Tsarasaotra park is located on 27ha of land that includes a lake. It is a privileged place for the reproduction of aquatic avifauna of Madagascar. This park is protected by WWF, Birdlife International, Peregrine's Fund and the Malagasy government. This is a great refuge for over sixty species of birds. Discuss with a guardian some of the things you might see on your exploration in Tsarasaotra Park. |

Where Do Mountains Come From? |
Discuss the amount of time it takes for mountains to form and that it is a slow process. Discuss mountains. If you have seen them before go back and look at photos, or discuss your experience. What did they look like? How big were they? Make a list of the tools that mountain clibers would need. |
