Planning and Pre-Writing |
Brainstorm a list of memories that you have about things that have happend to you and things you have done. Use photos, and talk with your parents about things you have done that they might want to write about. Come to school tomorrow with a list of 6 things that you might want to write about. |
|
Pick one of the topics that you brainstormed about yesterday. Practice telling the story out loud to a family member. Remember to tell your story in order. You can use the words first, next, then, and finally to sequence your story. Tomorrow you will be drawing and pre-writing a plan for the story that you are discussing right now. |
|
An introduction is the first few sentences of your story. Good authors use hooks to make their reader interested. You can hook a reader by starting your story...
What hook works best for your story? |
