From the Director: ASA has been requested to remain closed to students until Monday October 23. This means students will miss three days of school (Wed - Fri).
Continuation of Learning We are obliged to assist students to continue their learning during school closure. Learning continuance are mandatory for students, and an authentic replacement for regular school attendance. Students are expected to complete work provided.
Student and Parent responsibilities
Students
set aside an appropriate amount of time each day for online learning set by their teachers
are responsible for completing to the best of their ability all their work during the school closure.
ask teachers for clarification of any set task, as needed
meet deadlines as set by their teacher
Parents
ensure their children have appropriate Internet access to participate in online learning
depending on the age of the children, can act as an additional support and help their child to stay engaged
check personal email regularly to receive school correspondence/updates
contact the class teacher if there is a problem with communication or if a teacher is not in contact with their child
First Grade Home Learning Please access home learning by clicking the buttons below on the appropriate day. Do not work ahead, as specialty teachers and myself will be updating the pages as we go (at least 24 hours in advance). Please let me know if you have any questions. All work can be submitted to me when we return to school. I suggest using a notebook to record learning, and splitting it into three sections; Language, Math, and UOI. If you do not have a notebook, loose pages are perfectly acceptable.
I would also like to mention that this project grew as I was at school trying to keep our plants alive, I am still in my 'holiday clothes,' in the videos, but perfectly capable of teaching in them. Looking forward to seeing all of you very soon.
