Discuss with your child how finding the problem and the solution in a story can help them be a better reader. Good readers know the problem and the solution to a story. They know that the characters in the story have a problem. Trying to figure out what the problem is and what the character does to solve the problem will help them understand and remember a story better.
Following the same procedure as you did in the video above, watch the video stopping frequently for questions and predictions. When you are finished, identify the problem and solution. How did you know? |
